EducaPoker Announces New Freeroll After Server Crash Disrupts Anniversary Tournament
EducaPoker's servers crashed around 21:00 hours, making it impossible for users to access the website and obtain the password for the freeroll tournament. This disruption led to a series of decisions aimed at resolving the issue for their users. Firstly, the prize for the winner of the disrupted freeroll, which was a pass to the heads-up of the second phase of the promotion, was canceled. This decision was made because not all interested students could register for the tournament.
To mitigate the situation, EducaPoker took several steps. They published the tournament password in the PokerStars table chat and officially on their Facebook page, allowing for late registrations. This action, however, attracted numerous non-EducaPoker users to the tournament, which was considered a minor issue since a new freeroll was already planned.
The new freeroll, scheduled for Sunday, September 26, at 18:00 CET (Spain), 12:00 ET (PokerStars), will have a prize pool of $400 and a reward of $100 + a Limited Edition t-shirt for eliminating 'simonvlc'. Registration for this tournament will be handled through a participant list, with pre-registrations closing on Thursday at 10:00 hours. Users who pre-registered for the first freeroll are already added to the list and do not need to pre-register again.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
