Brazilian Poker Pro Edison Oliveira Wins Sunday Million
The Sunday Million tournament on PokerStars concluded last Sunday with a thrilling finish. The event was held in a progressive knockout format, where players received prizes not only for making it into the money but also for eliminating other players, with increasing bounties.
Andrey Berinov, known by the nickname retrytm, was the only representative of the Russian-speaking poker community at the final table. Berinov left the game in 8th place, winning a total of $13,000. In his final hand, Berinov went all-in with A-3 against his opponent's K-Q and saw a king on the river.
The final three players agreed to a deal. The heads-up match was between British player Nick Kapellmann, known as hattie009, and Brazilian player Edison Oliveira, known as Edison82. In the decisive hand, Edison Oliveira had A-9 against hattie009's 7-10. The flop showed 6-4-8, giving hattie009 a chance to make a straight. The turn was a valet, and both players checked. The river brought a four, and hattie009 went all-in, to which Edison Oliveira responded with a call despite having no hand. Edison82 won with a tuz-hay and started celebrating his victory. For his win, Edison Oliveira received $143,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
