Dutch Lottery Takes Legal Action Against Unlicensed Gambling Operator Skyhills
The Dutch national lottery, Nederlandse Loterij, has taken legal action against Skyhills, an unlicensed online gambling operator. The lottery has issued a demand to Skyhills, forcing the offshore website to go dark. Skyhills, which operates across Costa Rica, North Macedonia, the United Kingdom, Curaçao, Malta, and the Marshall Islands, does not hold a recognized Dutch license, making it illegal to operate locally.
Nederlandse Loterij CEO Arjan Blok stated that protecting Dutch consumers was of the utmost importance and that all measures would be taken to ensure that this is the case. The operation of companies without a license and offering games was simply unacceptable, the chief executive stated.
This is not the first time the Dutch national lottery has taken action against unlicensed operators. Previously, the lottery took action against Lalabet, and the lottery is similarly taking aim at another operator, Qbet, with its case yet to begin.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
