Doyle Brunson's Latest Adventures: Poker, Pianos, and Travels
Poker legend Doyle Brunson is 79 years old, but he's still full of surprises. Last week, he played a cash game in Los Angeles. The game was hosted in a five-story mansion at the top of a hill, with a view of the city. The elevator was broken, so Brunson had to climb the stairs with his cane.
During the game, Brunson played a song on a piano that belonged to Nat King Cole. He mentioned that he hadn't played anything other than the 'dog waltz' before. He also had a conversation with Nat.
Brunson also shared his struggles with airport security due to his metal shoulder implant, which triggers alarms. Despite this, he understands the necessity of the security measures. Lara Miller, a publicist for DoylesRoom, is traveling the world with a $14 daily budget. She's currently in India and plans to travel through Asia and Europe by hitchhiking.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
