Douglas Polk Challenges Bill Perkins and Doyle Brunson to Heads-Up Poker Duel
Douglas Polk, a prominent American poker player, is known for his emotional expressions on Twitter. Recently, he responded to Bill Perkins' accusations of cheating, stating that the accusations were "simply ridiculous" and that he was "waiting for Bill's blessing" for their next duel.
Polk challenged Perkins to a heads-up match with limits of $200/$400. Perkins responded that he first needed to "slightly improve his skill" and move to a place where it is legally allowed to play. Only then would he "possibly agree."
Another legendary poker player, Doyle Brunson, also received a challenge from Polk. After Brunson's tweet hinting at traditional poker, Polk offered to play a heads-up match in person. Brunson has not yet responded to Polk's proposal.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
