DonkPredator's $40,000 Poker Challenge: 31 Days, 3 to 1 Odds

DonkPredator, a 19-year-old Norwegian player, has set an ambitious goal: to win $40,000 in 31 days playing PLO400 6-max on PokerStars. The challenge began on November 1st, with a 3 to 1 bet and a maximum of $45,000, meaning a potential win of $15,000.

DonkPredator is no stranger to high-stakes challenges. In January, he completed a similar task, aiming to win $30,000 on PLO200. In May, he won a SCOOP tournament with a $55 buy-in, earning $17,688.08. His forum thread on 2+2 has over 110 pages, with daily updates and interesting hands.

The first two days of the challenge were highly successful for DonkPredator, winning over $10,000. However, on the fourth day, he faced a significant loss and even considered breaking his keyboard. Despite this setback, he continued the challenge. His strategy includes cashing out during periods of bad luck to 'punish' the room.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
