DGOJ Subdirector Answers Key Questions on International Poker Liquidity
José Antonio García García, Subdirector of the Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego, answered questions about international liquidity in online poker. The agreement to share liquidity between regulated poker rooms in Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal was signed on July 6, 2017. The four regulatory authorities are committed to implementing shared liquidity by the end of 2017.
The new licensing procedure is expected to open in the last quarter of 2017 or the first quarter of 2018. Players will continue to play on the domains of their respective jurisdictions (.ES, .IT, .FR, .PT). The DGOJ does not plan to require the display of each player's origin in the game interface.
The agreement allows for other countries to join the collaboration network in the future. This development is significant for the online poker community, as it opens up new possibilities for players and operators alike.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
