Daniel Negreanu Wins His Own $25k Poker Draft for the First Time
Daniel Negreanu made history by winning his own $25k poker draft for the first time in 15 years. This victory was particularly notable as Negreanu's team included seven players, with Josh Arie being the most valuable member. Arie finished second in the $50k Players Championship and the $10k HORSE tournament, and third in the $1,500 PLO-8 tournament.
Negreanu's own performance was impressive, winning a bracelet in the $100k PLO tournament. Nick Pupillo's $2 investment was one of the most successful of the entire draft, with significant points coming from his sixth-place finish in the Mystery Bounty PLO with a $1,000 buy-in. Brin Kenny, who played in only a few tournaments, managed to finish second in the $250k high rollers and third in the $50k tournament.
The ODB draft this year featured 1199 teams, with the winning team 'Are you monica?' receiving $100k. Naoya Kihara became the most valuable player in the fantasy draft, scoring over 500 points, a feat never achieved before.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
