Daniel Negreanu Reflects on WCOOP: Missed Opportunities and Future Plans
Daniel Negreanu recently reflected on his performance in the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), where he played 52 out of 62 tournaments. Negreanu finished in third place overall in the WCOOP standings, missing out on the first place due to a fifth-place finish in the $10,000 8-Game tournament.
Negreanu played the WCOOP from four different countries: Barcelona, Montenegro, Budapest, and London. He made 15 cashes during the series, highlighting his consistent performance throughout the event.
Looking ahead, Negreanu plans to participate in the EPT London and WSOP Europe. He mentioned that he started taking notes on how his opponents played certain hands during WCOOP, emphasizing the importance of using statistics to make decisions in online poker.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
