Adding Creative Bluffs to GTO Strategy in Poker
The current strategy allows Arial to bluff on the turn only with a draw. However, what about dry textures where there is little or no draw? One of the basic principles of poker theory states that if there are value combinations in our range, there should also be bluffs.
The solver recommends bluffing with the bottom of the range. The EV-Regret from a small second barrel and check with all hands weaker than A-high is almost the same. With all of them, you can bluff, and this will not be a big mistake.
Based on the obtained information, the following heuristic is proposed for creative bluffs: in single-raised pots where the opponent follows a passive strategy and there is no draw on the turn, Arial should bluff with 50% of the trash hands weaker than A-high. In 3-bet pots, there is a new category of bluffing hands - small pairs.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
