Chino Rheem Crowned PGT PLO Series Champion for Second Year Running
Chino Rheem has once again proven his prowess in the poker world by winning the 2026 PGT PLO Series at Venetian Las Vegas. This victory marks his fourth PGT series championship, making him the only player in the tour’s history to achieve this feat. Rheem’s journey to the top was marked by a series of impressive performances throughout the eight-event festival.
Rheem finished second to Bruno Furth in the opening event, a $3,300 PLO event with 254 entrants. Despite this early setback, Rheem quickly bounced back, finishing eighth in the second event, a $5,300 PLO event. His streak continued with a fourth-place finish in the third event, a $5,300 PLO quattro bounty affair, and a fifth-place finish in the fifth event, a $5,300 PLO mystery bounty event. These consistent performances helped him accumulate 281 PGT points over his four cashes.
Rheem’s success in this series has significantly boosted his standing in the year-long PGT leaderboard, where he now sits in sixth place overall with 672 PGT points. Additionally, his career earnings have surpassed $19.5 million, thanks in part to the $136,555 he accrued during this festival. Rheem’s back-to-back victories in the PGT PLO Series cement his status as one of the top players in the poker world.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
