CBP 2018: 8-Game and Ladies Brasília Tournaments Kick Off Today

The Campeonato Brasiliense de Poker (CBP) 2018 features two specific tournaments: 8-Game and Ladies Brasília. Both tournaments are scheduled to begin at 8 PM at P2W Brasília.

The 8-Game Tournament

The 8-Game tournament includes eight different poker modalities: 2-7 Triple Draw, Lowball, Limit Texas Hold’em, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, Seven Card Stud Eight or Better (Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo), NL Texas Hold’em, and Pot Limit Omaha. This format has been gaining popularity in Brazil, and the BSOP also offers this tournament in many of its stages. Notably, the CBP is the only state championship that includes the 8-Game tournament in its schedule.

The Ladies Brasília Tournament

The Ladies Brasília tournament is exclusively for women and features a separate ranking for the 2018 season. The winner of this ranking will receive a package for the Ladies tournament in the first stage of the BSOP in 2019, including flights, accommodation, and buy-in. Additionally, points earned in the Ladies ranking will be added to the points from all other CBP tournaments, and the woman with the highest ranking will secure a spot on the Brasiliense Poker Team, which will compete in the National Team Championship in 2019.
