Carlos Sánchez 'Carsandi' Wins Big: A Journey Through Online Poker

Carlos Sánchez, known as 'Carsandi' in the poker community, recently made headlines with his impressive wins on PokerStars. In two tournaments, he managed to win almost $30,000, with $25,950.53 from the Sunday 162 6-max tournament and $4,820.24 from another tournament.

Carsandi's journey in poker began four years ago when he learned to play with friends. He started playing poker online with a university friend, using a typical quiz that gave him $10 to start. His discovery of EducaPoker came two years ago while searching for poker information. He usually plays tournaments with buy-ins between $5 and $55, but on Sundays, he increases the buy-in for special tournaments. He is from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Carsandi prefers playing shorthanded and deepstack poker. His favorite online poker player is Moorman1, and his favorite live poker player is Jason Mercier. He prefers playing on PokerStars.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
