Cardsforfun Makes Waves in High-Stakes Poker on CoinPoker
In mid-December, an unknown poker player with the nickname cardsforfun appeared at the high-stakes tables on CoinPoker. His first opponents at the $1,000/$2,000 tables were PencilArms and KennedyP. KennedyP's stack exceeded $1 million at one point during the session, and the largest pot of the session exceeded $440k.
Cardsforfun called a 3-bet and raised a continuation bet from PencilArms on the flop. PencilArms finished the match with a stack of $1.75 million. Cardsforfun returned to the tables in the new year and played against top regulators, including Clickr and Linus. In one notable hand, Linus won a significant pot against cardsforfun.
Cardsforfun lost nearly $800k in a day, with $500k going to Mokri and the rest to Linus. CoinPoker added tables for $1,250/$2,500 and $2,500/$5,000 games with a depth of 200bb. Kaihan Mokri won one of the largest pots in online poker history. CoinPoker's ambassador Mario Mosbek explained the situation with the rake on high-stakes tables, highlighting the challenges of servicing ultra-high-stakes tables and the need for additional adjustments to keep the game balanced.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
