CardRunners Acquires StoxPoker, Max Lykov Launches Individual Poker Lessons
In a significant move within the online poker training community, CardRunners is set to absorb StoxPoker. The merger will be finalized on May 1, 2010, as confirmed by StoxPoker's brand manager Alex Huang. This development comes after a series of controversies involving StoxPoker, including the admission by its founder Nick "Stoxtrader" Grudzyn that he played under multiple accounts on Full Tilt and PokerStars.
Following Grudzyn's departure, leading trainers Dusty "Leatherass" Schmidt and Matt Bolt left to found DragTheBar.com, further weakening StoxPoker's position. All StoxPoker videos and user accounts will be transferred to CardRunners.
In related news, Russian poker star Max Lykov has announced that he will start taking students for individual poker lessons. Lykov's lessons will be conducted on the JokerTim.ru platform, starting May 15, 2010. He will charge $300 per hour for his services, with a preliminary scheme of education, durations, and prices to be released in the coming days.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
