Poker Pro Bryn Kenney's Free WSOP Seat Offer Sparks Twitter Controversy
Poker pro Bryn Kenney recently offered a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat in an online giveaway, but the move has sparked controversy on Twitter. Nadya Magnus, a Florida-based, Russian-born pro, sparked a backlash by supporting Kenney's offer. Matt Berkey criticized Kenney's offer, calling it a cheap way to repair his image.
Kenney initially denied allegations of cheating but later admitted to possible occasional wrongdoing. The controversy surrounding Kenney's offer has divided the poker community, with some supporting his gesture and others criticizing it. Toby Lewis and Luke Schwartz had opposing views on Kenney's offer, with Lewis calling Kenney a "horrible POS" and Schwartz defending Kenney.
Martin Zamani accused Kenney of running his poker stable in a cult-like fashion and encouraging multi-accounting and ghosting. Kenney's interview with PokerNews' Sarah Herring was criticized for not pushing Kenney hard enough on the alleged misconduct. Zamani released a 21-minute video worth of screenshots from another of Kenney’s horses, George Wolff, showing evidence of various nefarious activities. Kenney's response to the allegations included part-denial and part-admission.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
