Bryn Kenney and Doug Polk Clash Over High-Stakes Poker Match Terms
Bryn Kenney has agreed in principle to face Doug Polk in a match, but the two poker pros are at odds over the format. Polk is only interested in deep stacked cash games, while Kenney wants a faster-paced tournament format with the winner taking all.
Kenney suggested a $1 million winner-takes-all match where 20% goes to charity, but Polk is not convinced. Polk was once thought to be the best heads-up cash player on the planet, and Kenney has won more money from poker tournaments than any player in history. Kenney has suggested a 1 day match for high stakes, but Polk told him that he’s not rich enough to be flipping for a million dollars.
Kenney tried to bait Phil Hellmuth into a match in April of this year but annoyed him instead and nothing came of it. This is a match the poker fans would love to see.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
