Brian Hastings Ready for Rematch: Poker News Roundup
Douglas Polk is on the lookout for new talent to join his poker empire. The conditions for joining include minimum limits of $600+ HU or 6-max NL, Zoom $500+, SNG from $300, a history of hands over the last 3-6 months, recommendations, and any other relevant information.
Mike McDonald, known as a Zoom regular, sent in his resume early. He stated that Douglas Polk would confirm his skills in Zoom500. McDonald had set a goal to beat Zoom500 by the start of the World Series without using coaches, but he failed to achieve this, losing $11,335.49 over 46,325 hands.
Steve O'Dwyer won a €5,100 6-max tournament in Helsinki with 18 players. He shared a photo of the award ceremony, commenting that finalists in live tournaments should always be given flowers. Meanwhile, Tom Hall added a new car to his collection, expressing that he had been dreaming of it since childhood. Dan Bilzerian also shared his enthusiasm for cars, while Douglas Polk, who no one wants to play online with, almost engaged in a different form of heads-up: DocSands proposed a fight for $500k, and Polk accepted. However, they couldn't agree on the timing, with DocSands wanting a fight within four weeks and Polk requesting six months for training.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
