Blanche Lincoln, Former Critic, Now Lobbies for Prediction Market Firm Kalshi
Former Arkansas senator Blanche Lincoln, who previously opposed prediction markets, is now lobbying for Kalshi, a leading prediction market firm. Kalshi has paid Lincoln $480,000 since 2024.
Blanche Lincoln, who served as the chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee in 2010, helped write provisions of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act that gave the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) the power to bar certain event contracts, including on sporting events like the Super Bowl and Kentucky Derby.
Blanche Lincoln's lobbying firm, Lincoln Policy Group, began working for Kalshi before the company began offering sports markets.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
