BetRivers Poker Handles AWS Outage with Proactive Measures
BetRivers Poker experienced unexpected downtime due to the AWS global outage. The outage, caused by a malfunction in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services, affected thousands of sites and apps worldwide, including BetRivers Poker. Numerous players were unable to log into their accounts and experienced connectivity issues.
BetRivers Poker opted for a preemptive maintenance update, making the site largely unavailable during the AWS outage. This decision was made to prevent further issues and ensure player protection. The operator's technical team stayed on the task, allowing limited access to player information and monitoring the situation.
The site eventually went back online on October 21, once they were happy that cloud services were stable enough once again. This proactive approach by BetRivers Poker ensured minimal disruption and protected players from potential financial harm.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
