Avr0ra and Joyyyyy Reveal Top Poker Rooms for NL50 Players in 2026

In 2024, Avr0ra and Brdz1 compiled a ranking of poker rooms, which has since changed significantly with new platforms, stricter measures against professional players, and an increase in bots. In 2026, Avr0ra and Joyyyyy updated the ranking, considering factors like rake, competition, and the presence of bots.

Chico Network is noted for its high rake and intense competition among regular players. Avr0ra mentioned that Chico Network has become significantly worse over the past two years, with constant reductions in rakeback and increases in rake. Despite this, the network does not impose strict measures against professional players, making it a viable option for some.

WPT Global has improved its security measures and offers deep stack games, but struggles with professional players and lacks HUD support. The network has a unique feature where NL50 games can have mandatory straddles and very deep stacks, making it a different discipline. However, this can be a serious additional challenge for players transitioning to NL50.

iPoker and RedStar Poker face issues with bots and scripted players, but offer good fish and a stable rakeback system. Joyyyyy noted that iPoker is one of his favorite rooms due to the quality of fish and the stable rakeback system, despite the challenges posed by bots and scripted players. Avr0ra, however, is concerned about the room's inaction against known aggressive bots.

Winning Poker Network has a low rake but struggles with a lack of good games and increased security checks. The network has cleaned up bots but has seen an increase in blockages and confiscations. The main issue is the lack of good games, with many regulars playing for status and rakeback. Avr0ra noted that WPN is a viable additional room but not a primary option for NL50 players.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
