Barri's Unlikely Rise to Play Money Poker Fame
Barri, a seasoned poker player, found unexpected success in play money tournaments. Despite living in California, where online poker for real money is prohibited, Barri became one of the most successful players in virtual money tournaments.
Barri won the Sunday Billion tournament twice and finished second twice. He also played a heads-up tournament with Chris Moneymaker, winning in a coin flip.
Barri prefers playing live poker in Los Angeles over moving to another country to play online. He believes that his skills are better suited for live games and that the practice he gains from high-stakes play money tournaments benefits his overall game.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
