Backseat Gaming Launches as Independent Studio with Weekly Game Releases

Backseat Gaming has launched as a fully independent studio with its own proprietary Remote Game Server. The studio has assumed full control over its own roadmap and tech. Backseat Gaming Co-Founder and CEO Espen Oeye said, 'This is a defining moment for Backseat Gaming, after years of dedicated work by our team to create a studio that’s entirely our own.'

With the new system designed and built by its in-house team, Backseat Gaming retains full control over how players across the world experience its products. The company is committed to keeping a fast delivery cadence, with a new game released every week. Some of its most successful games include Born in Hell, Toad Town, and Totem Tower Bonanza.

Backseat Gaming focuses on building clean and simple gameplay meant to drive strong results. The studio also delivers mass-market and bespoke games, working closely with operators to release exclusive games that are tailored and built exclusively for their own audiences.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
