Americas CardRoom Launches $1 Million Poker Promotion Inspired by Chris Moneymaker

Americas CardRoom is hosting a $1 million poker promotion inspired by Chris Moneymaker's 2003 WSOP win. The promotion, titled 'The Next Moneymaker, version 2.0,' promises one lucky winner $100,000 cash for a summer of Vegas buy-ins, and a seat at the biggest event of all, the WSOP Main Event, with a $15,000 all-expenses package that could turn you into the next Moneymaker.

The promotion will run from March 11th to May 28th, with a Final Tournament on June 4th and 5th. There will be 13 weekly competitions from March 11th to May 28th, with a $500,000 prize pool. The entry fee for the weekly leaderboard competition is $86, honoring Chris Moneymaker's $86 satellite win.

Points accumulated during the weekly competitions will be exchanged for chips at the Main Event Final Tournament. Even if players don’t feature in the leaderboards top spots, playing all 13 weeks bags them a 10,000 point bonus to take to the Main Event.
