Americans Reveal What They'd Sacrifice for a Lottery Jackpot
Winning the lottery is a dream for many, but what would Americans be willing to sacrifice for a guaranteed jackpot? Ahead of National Lottery Day, Casino Guru USA conducted a survey to find out.
One-quarter (25%) of Americans would consider leaving their partner for a lottery win, depending on the prize sum. Kentuckians are the most willing to abandon their partners, with 1 in 8 people claiming they would give up their partner for any lottery jackpot.
Sports fans also have a lot to consider. NBA fans would stop supporting their favorite team more than any other sport, with 34% claiming they would give them up no matter the winnings. Tennessee ranks #1 as the state most willing to ditch their favorite sports team for a lottery win, with over two-thirds (67%) reporting that they would stop supporting them regardless of the amount of money at stake.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
