Alex Kulev Wins EPT Monte Carlo SHR for €1 Million
Bulgarian poker player Alex Kulev made a significant mark in the poker world by winning the EPT Monte Carlo €100k SHR tournament, securing €1,036,287. The three-day, nosebleed stakes event attracted 37 entries, including notable players like Mike Watson, Ike Haxton, Sam Greenwood, Justin Bonomo, and Stephen Chidwick. However, none of these high-profile players made it to the six paid spots.
The top prize was €1,238,440, and the remaining six players, all playing one bullet, bagged for day three with €250k locked up. The final table saw intense competition, with Ben Heath finishing in third place, earning €556,400. Artur Martirosian finished in fourth place, earning €412,800. Adrian Mateos finished in fifth place, earning €323,100. Orpen Kisacikoglu finished in sixth place, earning €251,300. Mikita Badziakouski finished in second place, earning €1,009,853.
Santosh Suvarna was the unlucky money bubble spot.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
