Adrián Mateos Wins Big at PokerStars.com SCOOP Events
Adrián Mateos, known by his online handle Amadi_17, had an extraordinary night at the PokerStars.com Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) events. His impressive performance saw him earn over $220,000 in just one night.
In the SCOOP-01-H event, a 6-max tournament with a $2,100 buy-in, Mateos not only made it to the final table but also finished in 5th place, securing $84,800. This event was just the beginning of his successful night. Shortly after, he participated in the SCOOP-05-H event, a $1,050 turbo tournament with re-buys, where he finished 3rd, earning $139,545.
Another notable winner from the SCOOP events was Ana Márquez. She secured a significant victory, taking home $255,035 and a watch. Márquez is the second Spanish player, after Andoni Larrabe, to win a high-level event in the PokerStars.com Spring Championship series.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
