Adam Friedman Wins Dealer's Choice Tournament Three Times in a Row
Adam Friedman made history by winning the Dealer's Choice tournament three times consecutively at the World Series of Poker. He defeated Phil Hellmuth in the heads-up to secure his third victory.
Friedman's first victory in the Dealer's Choice tournament was in 2018, followed by wins in 2019 and 2021. This achievement is particularly notable because, according to Friedman, no one has ever won the same tournament three times in a row at the WSOP before.
Friedman's poker career began with Limit Hold'em, a game he started playing in college. He later transitioned to mixed games after getting bored with Hold'em. He learned Badugi and Badacey specifically for the Dealer's Choice tournament, games he considered essential for success in this event.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
