888.es Users: Save Your Hand Histories for EducaPuntos Update

888.es has announced updates to its EducaPuntos system, requiring users to save their hand histories starting from January 1, 2013. This change is necessary due to the platform's inability to update EducaPuntos as it previously did.

To prepare for the update, users should navigate to the 888.es menu and go to Configuration > Game Configuration. Here, users will find the option “Conservar el historial de mi mano en:” (“Keep my hand history in:”). By activating this option, users will see a directory where their hand histories will be saved.

It is recommended to set the number of days to keep hand history to a high number, such as 60 days. This ensures that hand histories are preserved until the update is fully implemented. Users of Poker Tracker 4, Holdem Manager, and Holdem Manager 2 should also adjust their settings to continue saving hand histories. For Poker Tracker 4, this can be done under Import Configuration. For Holdem Manager 2, users should go to Hand Importing > Auto Import Folders. Holdem Manager users can find the relevant settings under Add Auto Import Folder.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
