In a remarkable turn of events, a 60-year-old Frenchman named Albert, known by the username NIKITAANNA on PokerStars, won €1,000,000 playing a €5 Spin&Go tournament. The tournament, which lasted approximately 11 minutes, saw Albert emerge victorious against his opponents.
Albert was playing the Spin&Go tournament while waiting for his dinner. He initially did not notice the jackpot prize on his screen but quickly realized his win. The second and third place players in the tournament each won €100,000.
In a small interview with French PokerStars, Albert mentioned that he no longer plans to continue working and that he received a "solid addition to his pension." With four children and four grandchildren, Albert has a lot of people to spoil. He plans to invest part of his winnings and give to his family.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
