50 Cent Brings Classic Dice Game Cee-lo to Las Vegas Casinos

Rapper 50 Cent is bringing a classic dice game to the casino floors of Las Vegas. In partnership with TCSJOHNHUXLEY, 50 Cent is introducing “Cee-lo” to the annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E).

Cee-lo is a three-dice game that originated in China and spread across the US in the late 19th century as Chinese laborers came to work in the US. The game gained popularity in Harlem and has been mentioned in hip-hop songs since the 1980s. 50 Cent's version of the game, called Headcrack, will feature a banker, official betting structures, side bets, and additional payouts.

To play Cee-lo, players use three dice. All players ante before the dice are rolled. One person eventually wins the entire pot. Rolling first has an advantage, so it rotates throughout the game, similar to the dealer button in a poker game. A player rolls until he or she has a score and then passes the dice. Rolling 1-2-3 is an automatic loss and the player passes the dice. A 4-5-6 is an automatic win and that player takes the entire pot, regardless of how many players have or haven’t touched the dice yet. Otherwise, a player rolls until getting a pair or three of a kind. If a player rolls a pair, the value of the non-paired die is that player’s score. For example, rolling 6-6-1 yields a score of 1. Rolling three of a kind beats all paired rolls. A higher trips beats a lower trips. For example, 4-4-4 is scored as trip four and would beat 1-1-1. Once everyone has rolled, the highest score wins.
