Tournaments
Re-entry in poker
Definition
Entering a tournament again with a fresh stack, as a new entry, after you have been eliminated.
In a re-entry tournament you can buy in again after busting, usually only during the late-registration period and only if you are out. Unlike a rebuy, a re-entry is a whole new entry with its own seat.
Re-entry events grow bigger prize pools and give the same player several chances at the same prize.
