Add-on in poker
Definition
An optional purchase of extra chips, usually available once, at the end of the rebuy period.
An add-on is available to every player, including those who did not rebuy, and gives a fixed amount of chips for a fixed price. It is usually good value for the extra chips.
Not every tournament has add-ons. They are most common in rebuy tournaments and charity events.
