HUD (heads-up display) in poker
Definition
Software that shows statistics about your opponents at the table in real time, built from the hands you have played against them.
A HUD displays numbers such as VPIP and PFR next to each player. It helps to classify opponents quickly, but its figures are only reliable after a decent number of hands.
Many rooms limit or ban HUDs, and some tables are anonymous to prevent data collection, so check the room's rules before using one.
