Zigmund on Isildur1: 'He Has Clear Genetic Issues'
Poker player Ilari 'Zigmund' Sahamies, known for his outspoken nature, recently appeared on the Finnish radio show Radio Rock Korporaatio to discuss the online poker sensation Isildur1. Sahamies believes that Isildur1 is 19-year-old Victor Blom from Sweden, a claim that many professionals, including Tony Guoga, have made. However, Blom has denied this in interviews, possibly due to the tax implications of such an admission.
During the radio show, Sahamies shared his experiences playing against Isildur1. He mentioned that Isildur1 played against Patrick Antonius, Phil Ivey, and Tom Dwan simultaneously, noting that Isildur1 has 'clear genetic issues' due to his unique playing style. Sahamies also claimed he won about a million dollars against Isildur1, but the game was out of control with wild swings.
Sahamies also commented on Isildur1's attitude towards high stakes, suggesting that he sometimes seems to want to lose. He noted that Isildur1 does not seem to care about the money, which is unusual for a high-stakes poker player.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
