WSOP Online Bracelets: Has the Boom Gone Too Far?
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has seen a significant increase in online bracelets, sparking debate about their prestige. The WSOP introduced online bracelets in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the number of online bracelets awarded jumping from 9 in 2019 to 85 in 2020.
In 2022, there were more online bracelets than live bracelets for the first time, with 110 online bracelets awarded compared to 104 live bracelets. The 2026 WSOP online series on GGPoker offers 33 bracelets, but the number of online bracelets awarded dropped from 115 in 2024 to 104 in 2025.
GGPoker stated that WSOP Online bracelets may return for Ontario players in the future, but there has been no confirmed decision on whether Ontario players will receive bracelets this year.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
