World Poker Tour Announces Major Changes and New Faces
The World Poker Tour (WPT) has announced several key changes to its leadership and format. Matt Savage was appointed as the executive director of the WPT. In his new role, Savage will act as a liaison between WPT and the tournament directors of the casinos hosting WPT events, ensuring effective collaboration and protecting the rights of players.
Kimberly Lansing has been named the permanent host of the television broadcasts for the WPT. She will be a central figure throughout the tournaments, conducting interviews, providing commentary, and introducing players. Mike Sexton and Vince van Patten, known for their commentary, will now visit the first day of each WPT tournament in the USA, allowing them to better experience the tournament atmosphere and meet potential finalists.
One of the most talked-about announcements was the introduction of the 'Royal Flush Girls,' a group of six women who will appear in each episode of the new WPT season. These women, representing diverse ethnic backgrounds, are expected to attract more players and viewers with their beauty and charm. The girls include Michelle Banzer, Melissa Grace, Jennifer Haley, Melanie Iglesias, Sunisa Kim, and Katrina Topacio, each with unique backgrounds and talents.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
