Wisconsin Teen Charged with $600k DraftKings Hack
An 18-year-old Wisconsin teen, Joseph Garrison, has been charged with hacking the sports betting site DraftKings and stealing $600,000. The FBI uncovered a massive credential stuffing attack that targeted tens of thousands of accounts.
Garrison and his crew accessed approximately 60,000 DraftKings accounts. In certain cases, this allowed new payment methods to be added to the account. A $5 deposit was enough to then allow the hackers to withdraw the entire holdings of that account. In total, Garrison and his crew stole approximately $600,000 from approximately 1,600 Victim Accounts.
Garrison is charged with conspiracy to commit computer intrusions, unauthorized access to a protected computer to further intended fraud, unauthorized access to a protected computer, wire fraud conspiracy, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
