William Alex Foxen Wins DeepStack Championship, Plays Against Girlfriend
William Alex Foxen won the DeepStack Championship tournament at the Venetian casino with a $5,000 buy-in and a $1,000,000 guarantee, earning $239,000. His girlfriend, Kristen Bicknell, a WSOP bracelet winner and multiple Supernova Elite, finished second, earning $200,000. The third place went to Australian Kale Burns, who earned $120,000.
The hand between Foxen and Bicknell was discussed on Twitter by Joey Ingram, who shared a video of the hand. James Obst commented that the hand was typical of soft play observed throughout the final table.
Doug Polk dedicated more than half of his latest video to this incident, noting that the call of a 3-bet with Jacks was the most non-standard action in the hand.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
