Poker Coach Vitya Largus Analyzes Andrey check_behind's NL10 Hand

Andrey check_behind, a poker player who started his online journey last year, kept a journal titled 'The Mouth of This Casino: from NL2 to NL50' on a forum. In one of his entries, he analyzed a hand from NL10 where he made a block bet of 10% of the pot on the river against a passive opponent.

Vitya Largus, a new coach at GreenLine, commented on Andrey's analysis. He emphasized the importance of reviewing hands for players at micro limits, focusing on developing logic and understanding hand ranges rather than comparing frequencies with a solver.

The hand was played at the NL10 limit on a regular 6-max table in the RedStar room. The opponent's statistics over 1,000 hands showed a VPIP of 25, PFR of 20, 3-bet of 8.5, and F3B of 39. Vitya Largus suggested that the opponent is a typical tight player with moderate pre-flop aggression and decreasing aggression towards the river. Andrey check_behind 3-bet with JJ from the BB against the opponent's raise from the BTN. Vitya Largus recommended reducing the number of medium-strength hands in the 3-bet range and adding more low offsuit aces.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
