U.S. Navy Esports Team Opens Tryouts for Competitive Gamers
The U.S. Navy is organizing tryouts for its esports team, seeking motivated Sailors with gaming experience. Interested players can submit an application for upcoming tryouts scheduled between June 6 and June 7, 2026. To join the team, candidates need to adhere to a list of requirements and participate in tryouts on Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone and Rocket League.
Successful candidates would represent the Navy as part of its esports team, engaging in competitive gaming tournaments and public outreach events across the United States. To be eligible for the tryouts, Sailors must be pay grade E-4 or above, must have passed their most recent Body Composition Assessment as well as their most recent Physical Readiness Test.
Candidates must be in good standing with their current command and have no non-judicial punishment issued over the past three years. Successful esports players who are selected will receive three-year orders to the Navy Esports Facility in Memphis, Tennessee.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
