Triton Super High Roller Series: Sam Grafton Wins $200,000 Tournament
The Triton Super High Roller Series tournament on Cyprus concluded with Sam Grafton defeating Linus Leliger. The event featured a $200,000 buy-in and was the second of its kind, allowing only amateurs who had to invite one professional each.
The tournament format, which separated professionals and amateurs on the first day, was first used in 2019 during the Triton Million tournament. The first experiments with high roller tournaments for amateurs began in 2016, when Guy Laliberte organized a $1 million buy-in tournament without professionals.
On the first day, Phil Ivy lost to Linus Leliger in a hand where Ivy called Leliger's all-in with a weaker hand. The tournament had 115 entries, with 25 players paying two buy-ins each. Eight Russian-speaking players remained in the tournament at the end of the first day.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
