Tokenator's Supernit Experiment: Playing Extremely Tight for 5,000 Hands
Poker player Tokenator conducted an experiment playing extremely tight, known as 'supernit', for 5,000 hands. He won $20.55 with a winrate of 7.9 bb/100, observing unique behaviors among micro-limit players.
Tokenator's VPIP was between 15% and 18% in the previous experiment. He decided to conduct another experiment with a VPIP of around 3.5%. Tokenator observed that micro-limit players often push all-in quickly without complex decisions. He noted that micro-limit players often do not give up easily in 3-bet pots.
Tokenator's winrate of 7.9 bb/100 in the supernit experiment was considered respectable for online micro-limit games. He concluded that the best way to win at micro-limits is to play very tight and collect value.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
