Tilman Fertitta's $7 Billion Bid for Caesars Entertainment
Billionaire Tilman Fertitta, owner of the Houston Rockets, has offered $7 billion for Caesars Entertainment. Fertitta’s company, Fertitta Entertainment, is considering paying about $34 per share for the casino gaming giant. This offer tops Carl Icahn’s bid of $33 per share from Icahn Enterprises.
Caesars sold the World Series of Poker (WSOP) brand and series to NSUS Group in 2024 for $500 million. However, Caesars still operates the WSOP Online poker platform in the US as part of a licensing deal with NSUS.
The WSOP is an annual event hosted by Caesars at the Paris and Horseshoe casinos in Las Vegas.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
