Spanish Poker Players Can Now Choose Their Affiliate

The Spanish gambling regulator, DGOJ, has issued a clarifying note stating that new .es user registrations are not conditioned by the existence of a .com gaming account. This means that no rights or obligations from a .com account can be transferred to a .es account.

The DGOJ's note explicitly states that new .es gaming accounts cannot include any rights or obligations derived from a previous .com account. This clarification opens up the possibility for players to retrack their accounts to a new affiliate.

EducaPoker has created a forum thread to update information on poker rooms that allow retracking and those that cause problems. Players are encouraged to demand their right to choose their affiliate and to report any issues they encounter.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
