Shaun Deeb Wins Ninth WSOP Bracelet in Eight-Game Mix Event
Shaun Deeb has made history once again by winning his ninth World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. This time, he secured the victory in the $1,500 eight-game mix event, which featured a field of 766 entries. His win earned him a prize of $181,625, bringing his career earnings to an impressive $19.6 million.
Deeb's triumph also earned him 912 Card Player Player of the Year points, boosting his standing in the POY rankings. He now sits in 20th place, presented by CoinPoker. Deeb first secured the WSOP POY in 2018 and won it again in 2025. His runner-up showings in the WSOP Europe Colossus (482 points) and €3,000 mixed PLO (322 points), along with the $3,000 nine-game (425 points) in Las Vegas, make up the majority of his race-leading total.
In the final stages of the tournament, Dean Joe finished as the runner-up, earning $120,570. The final hand saw Deeb's A♥K♥K♣3♠ hold up against Joe's A♣10♥6♠5♠, securing Deeb's ninth bracelet and a significant lead in the chip count.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
