Russian Masters Poker Cup: First Legal Poker Tournament Series Announced
The Russian Masters Poker Cup, the first legal poker tournament series in Russia, will be held from September 17 to 23, 2010. The main tournament will have a buy-in of 50,000 rubles and will start on September 21, 2010.
The tournament will be held at the «Oracle» casino in Azov-City, the first legal casino opened after the poker ban in Russia. The Russian Masters Poker Cup is organized by a team led by Dmitry Ganyin, which has previously organized large poker series in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Kiev, and Egypt.
In addition to the main tournament, organizers plan to hold several satellites for the main tournament, 6 side tournaments in no-limit hold'em (6-max, turbo, freezeouts), and a two-day «Don Cup».

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
