Rounders Sequel: Will Matt Damon, Edward Norton, and John Malkovich Return?

The screenwriters of the 1998 film Rounders, Brian Koppelman and David Levien, have expressed interest in a potential sequel. In a recent interview with MTV, they mentioned that while they are in good terms with the actors and the director, scheduling conflicts have made it difficult to proceed with the project. The actors involved, Matt Damon, Edward Norton, and John Malkovich, have all become major stars since the film's release, making it challenging to align their schedules.

Edward Norton has shown enthusiasm for reprising his role as Lester Murphy. He stated that he would be willing to participate if the screenplay is written by Koppelman and Levien. However, the involvement of Matt Damon, John Malkovich, and the original director, John Dahl, remains uncertain.

In other news, Matt Damon will be participating in the Ante Up for Africa poker tournament on July 3, 2010, in Las Vegas. The charity event, part of the World Series of Poker, aims to raise funds for Africa. The tournament, which has a $5,000 entry fee, will feature notable poker players such as Annie Duke, Howard Lederer, Erik Seidel, Phil Gordon, Andy Bloch, Chris Ferguson, and Phil Hellmuth, among others.
