Roulette77 Tests 40+ Strategies: Do Any Work Long-Term?

Roulette77, a prominent platform in the online gaming community, recently conducted an extensive study to test the effectiveness of over 40 roulette strategies. The team, led by Andrew Shepard, Head of Product, ran simulations for each strategy, with some tested for tens of millions of spins. The conditions were consistent: European roulette, various starting bets and bankrolls, and a fair random number generator (RNG).

The strategies tested included classic methods like Martingale, Fibonacci, D’Alembert, and Paroli, as well as less popular options and experimental ideas such as the Makarov-Biarritz strategy. Each strategy was evaluated based on its balance graph, win frequency, and risk level, providing a comprehensive view of how each system behaves over the long run.

The simulations revealed that most strategies do not hold up in the long term. Many strategies rely on doubling bets or do not account for losing streaks, leading to a quick depletion of the bankroll. However, fixed-bet strategies showed surprisingly stable performance, although they did not yield significant wins. The visualizations of the strategies also highlighted an interesting phenomenon: players often perceive a smooth graph as an indication of a working system, even if the final result is a loss.
