Ronaldo Luis Nazario da Lima will debut at the EPT Barcelona on September 1, 2013. The former footballer will be part of the inaugural event of the European Poker Tour's Season 10, marking his return to the city where his football career took off. Ronaldo is a member of the Team Sport Stars of PokerStars, a group he joined in April.

The Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) Peru kicked off with 213 players paying $1,650 each for the tournament at the casino Atlantic City in Lima. Only 61 players survived the Day 1A, with notable players like Nacho Barbero and Leo Fernández aiming to qualify for Day 2. They will face competition from pros such as Chris Moneymaker and Vanessa Selbst.

The top three players from Day 1A are all locals: Gabriel Díaz with 215,000 chips, Carlos Mubarak with 194,000 chips, and Jorge Postigo with 150,000 chips. Other players who advanced include Humberto Brenes, Bruno Kawauti, and Julián Menéndez.
